We aim to uncover novel insights into the mechanisms, diagnostics, and treatments of pediatric urological conditions. By bridging the gap between basic science and clinical practice, we strive to enhance the well-being and quality of life for our young patients.

Research

Pediatric urology care research (Ped Uro-CARE Lab) lab mainly focuses on identifying and implementing preventive measures to reduce the incidence of common pediatric urological issue and developing interventions to improve the overall quality of life. Investigating the causes, risk factors and optimal treatment strategies for UTIs in children, as well as exploring preventive measures. The research interests include Urinary biomarkers and genetic polymorphisms in children with congenital anomalies of the kidney and urinary tract (CAKUT); Microbiome and metabolome profiling in children with CAKUT; Systematic reviews and meta-analyses; Quality improvement of care among surgical newborns.
